Grocery stores, markets, hardware or home improvement stores can slice up a fun promotion with watermelon flavored lip balm, gardening tools or pink and green imprinted blankets, or ice chests perfect for picnics.
BOOK LOVER’S DAY––AUGUST 9
If you consider yourself a book worm, this day is just for you. Products such as book lights, book marks or books of all kinds can celebrate this page-turning day. Local libraries, bookstores or schools can promote extra reading and brighter futures for all.
RELAXATION DAY––AUGUST 15
With today’s demanding schedules, it’s important to take a deep breaths and exhale every once in awhile. Local spas, gyms, beauty supply stores or nail salons can encourage a little extra down time with products such as aromatherapy candles, fuzzy slippers, scented body and hand lotions or lavender-infused eye pillows.

NATIONAL OVARIAN CANCER MONTH
Each year, nearly 21,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Help your local doctor’s office, county health department or cancer non-profit promote early detection and regular doctor visits with teal products such as t-shirts, tote bags, magnets, jewelry, license plate holders or buttons.
TEDDY BEAR DAY––SEPTEMBER 9
They’re snuggly, soft and always there for a good hug. This September, promote these cuddly friends at daycare centers, hospitals or community centers. They’re sure to put a smile on the faces of kids and grown-ups everywhere.
INTERNATIONAL EAT AN APPLE DAY––SEPTEMBER 18
Not only does eating an apple a day keep the doctor away, it also helps reduce blood cholesterol and the risk of stroke. Help your grocer clients or senior citizen centers educate their clients about this wholesome fruit with bright red apple yo-yos or useful apple peelers.

NATIONAL PIZZA MONTH
Whether you prefer yours with extra cheese or piles of pepperoni, pizzas are a yummy Italian cuisine enjoyed by people everywhere. Customized pizza cutters, aprons or magnets with the local pizza shop’s phone number can boost business and promote pizza eating for all.
